Celtic Kindness in Castle Ward
On Saturday, 25th May I had the absolute pleasure to perform with Celtic Grace at National Trust’s beautiful Castle Ward in Strangford, Co. Down. Together, we performed an interactive musical experience called Celtic Kindness, which follows the life of Irish harpist Turlogh O’Carolan. The team at Castle Ward provided a very warm welcome in such a magnificent setting.
Poetry Commission
Recently, I have been commissioned to write four unique poems for this 18th Century mansion. I plan to spend a number of days soaking up the atmosphere over the summer months, as I delve into my research. It is such a delight when my work brings me closer to nature and challenges my creative thinking.
Last year, I worked on a similar project for Rowallane Gardens in Saintfield, Co. Down where I wrote four bespoke poems to celebrate Hugh Armytage Moore’s 150th birthday. You can now find these poems in my newest poetry book: Unrecorded Places in Between.
