From Birth To Blossom
This Spring, I had the immense pleasure in writing bespoke poetry for The National Trust’s Rowallane Garden. These poems were commissioned to mark the 150th birthday of Hugh Armytage Moore.
On St. Patrick’s Day, I was joined by the talented Celtic Grace™, where we created a musical journey with emphases on the new beginnings of Spring. We were very lucky with the weather and later enjoyed reading feedback from the participants:
“What a beautiful Event… the harp and flute… fabulous”
“Really wonderful”
“Very enjoyable”
Poetry Experience
Later that week, my next performance was attended by the GCSE English Literature class of Saintfield High School. This included a walking tour, some interesting history of Rowallane Garden and a recital of my bespoke poems. You can view more pictures from this event on the Saintfield High School’s website.
I promised to share my poems, along with a programme of the Celtic Grace™ experience. Please click below for a pdf version:

Feedback
Delighted to receive such positive feedback from this event. It is such a privilege to go to work and love what you do.
“Paddy was wonderful to work with on this project at Rowallane Garden from start to finish.
I would recommend that anyone wishing to tell a story in a creative way spends time discussing the possibilities with him. From the very beginning Paddy emersed himself in painting a picture of Rowallane and Hugh Armytage Moore. A trait that can only be described as infectious.
His passion for his craft radiates from his pen onto paper, and the final result, four poems that capture what Rowallane Garden means so many people perfectly met the brief we had provided in our early discussions.
Paddy’s willingness to support with garden walks, reading his poems in the heart of where they were inspired was the icing on the cake, feedback from staff and visitors alike has been overwhelmingly positive. We would definitely explore working with him again in the future.”
